We provide everything teachers need to effectively implement the PKC in their schools. We have thought deeply about what to include in lessons so teachers can focus on the ‘how’ in their classroom delivery.
Our teaching resources
We offer a wide range of resources that are accessible online to view, download, and print:
- Curriculum maps: detail a bigger picture understanding of the curriculum
- Subject overviews: outline what is taught within each subject
- Subject rationales: explain our curriculum intent
- Unit rationales: outline the core knowledge and the progression across the curriculum in the context of each unit
- Lesson plans: specify the knowledge, provide key questions, suggested tasks and key vocabulary
- Assessment tasks: provide an opportunity for pupils to showcase their understanding
- Resources: supplement and support lessons
- Multiple Choice Quizzes: used in lessons to check for understanding and clarify misconceptions
- Knowledge organisers: provide finger-tip knowledge for pupils
- Vocabulary database: outlines all the key vocabulary taught throughout the curriculum

How we support teachers with our resources
All of our lesson plans come with teacher subject knowledge information that equips teachers with the knowledge they need to deliver the units effectively. Our lesson plans and unit rationales outline the connections within and between units across the subject disciplines. By providing our teachers with the “what” to teach, we give teachers more freedom to focus on classroom delivery and their pupils’ needs.
All teachers have access to ‘A Knowledge-Rich Curriculum in Practice’ online CPD videos which supports them to understand how to teach the lessons effectively. We also provide additional professional development and support that our partner schools can choose to access.
Subjects our curriculum covers
We provide curriculum materials for Years 1 to 6 in history, art, geography, science, music, DT and English. Each subject comes with a detailed curriculum map, subject rationale, lesson plans, unit rationales and resources. We also provide a knowledge-rich curriculum for EYFS.
